Commission Process
A commissioned work begins as an idea, takes shape through craftsmanship, and ultimately becomes a preserved record for the future.
Commissioned works are more than custom-made objects.
Every work created through KNNN is assigned a unique archive record and systematically documented for future preservation. The creation process, materials, craftsmanship, and related information are carefully recorded as part of the KNNN Archive.
Upon completion, each commissioned work may include the following documentation:
We believe that preserving a work means preserving more than the finished object itself. The people who created it, the techniques employed, the materials selected, and the story behind its creation all deserve to be remembered.
Through this approach, KNNN seeks to manage commissioned works not only as objects, but as cultural records that can be preserved and passed on to future generations.
A commissioned work begins as an idea, takes shape through craftsmanship, and ultimately becomes a preserved record for the future.
Every commissioned work created through KNNN is assigned a unique serial number and preserved as part of the KNNN Archive. Production records, materials, techniques, and related documentation may be archived together with the completed work.
Documentation scope, production timelines, and archive registration may vary depending on the nature of each project.
